Market potential - lucrative figures

Strong growth is again being witnessed in the chinese food processing industry with particular focus in machinery used for dairy industry, edible vegetable oils, butchery and meat processing, fruit and nut processing, grain milling and soft drinks.

Over the last decades, the food, beverage, printing and packaging industries have also developed rapidly.
• This has resulted in increasing demand for processing and
   packaging machinery – a market that is growing between
   18 - 30 % each year.
• Increased disposable incomes, improved living standards 
  and changes in consumer expectations for qaulity and  
  safety have spurred growth.
• Government regulations & leading hypermarkets have 
  also imposed requirements on food & beverage companies
  to continuously upgrade their product quality.

China's gross domestic product is growing far more rapidly than the global economy, which expanded at an average rate of three per cent between 1999 and 2003. And the FoodTec sector is especially benefiting from this development, as its market volume is expected to increase by about 9.4 per cent a year until 2010, when it will have doubled in size compared to 2002. This trend is being supported by increasing incomes and growing consumer mentality.
